PAF Intelligence Test 2026 — Verbal & Non-Verbal MCQs, Tips & Practice

The PAF Intelligence Test is the first and most critical section of every PAF initial test — for GDP Pilot, CAE, Air Defence, Airman, and all other entries. It is a First screening filter: if you fail, the system closes and you cannot proceed to academic subjects regardless of how well you know Physics or English.

The test has two parts: Verbal Intelligence Test Questions (language-based reasoning) and Non-Verbal Intelligence test Questions (pattern and spatial reasoning). Both require speed and accuracy under strict time limits.
Note: PAF Intelligence Test is single Test containing both type of questions(Verbal non verbal intelligence test). So you will attempt vebal non verbal MCQs in single one test.

SectionMCQs (Officers)MCQs (Airman)TimePassing Score
Verbal Intelligence80–9025~40 minutes for Both33% minimum
Non-Verbal Intelligence80–9075~40 minutes for Both33% minimum

As we have told you PAF intelligence test is most important test. One More point: PAF intelligence test has highest weightage in merit for selection than other academic tests. So prepare it very well.
Note: Intelligence test for Airmen/Officer/GDP/CAE/AD/Log/Admin

  • solving intelligence test MCQs is same For all Entry routes (Airman/officer/GDP/CAE).
  • Same questions types are for all
  • Difference only comes at number of questions & Time allotted.

So prepare MCQs from here without any issue for free. PAF intelligence test MCQs are given below divided into parts:

Verbal intelligence tests your ability to reason with words, identify relationships, find patterns in language, and solve logical problems through language.

    Answer: No
  4. All roses are flowers. Some flowers fade quickly. Do all roses fade quickly?
    Answer: Cannot be determined

Non-verbal intelligence tests your ability to identify patterns, visualize shapes in different orientations, and solve spatial problems without using language.

Topic 1: Number and Figure Series

Find what comes next in the visual pattern.

Key rules to remember:

  • Look for: rotation (shapes turning clockwise/counter-clockwise), size change (getting bigger/smaller), addition/removal of elements, color/shading alternation
  • In number matrix grids: look for row sums, row products, or differences

Practice Questions:

  1. Series: 21_3, 45_9, 37_?
Answer: 37_10 (sum of digits of first number: 2+1=3, 4+5=9, 3+7=10)
  2. Series: 3_53, 53, 53, 40, 40, _, _?
Answer: 27, 27 (decrease by 13 each pair)
  3. If price of 5 glasses = Rs.75, price of 9 glasses = ___?
    Answer: Rs.135 (75÷5 × 9)
  4. Price of 5 almonds = Rs.150, price of 9 = ___?
    Answer: Rs.270 (150÷5 × 9)

Topic 2: Mirror and Water Images

  • Mirror image (left-right flip): left and right sides are exchanged; up/down remains the same
  • Water image (top-bottom flip): top and bottom are exchanged; left/right remains the same
  • Letters that look the same in mirror: A, H, I, M, O, T, U, V, W, X, Y
  • Letters that look the same in water image: B, C, D, E, H, I, K, O, X

Topic 3: Spatial Reasoning Tips

  • For paper folding: mentally trace the fold line and imagine where punch holes end up
  • For cube rotations: identify one fixed face as reference; rotate around it mentally
  • For embedded figures: look for the simple shape hidden within the complex one by tracing its outline
  • For odd-one-out (shapes): check number of sides, size, shading, orientation, and symmetry
  • You have approximately 23–25 seconds per question in the officer test
  • Airman test: more time per question (25 questions in 35 minutes ≈ 84 seconds each — use it well)
  • Do not spend more than 30 seconds on any one question — skip and return if time allows
  • Practice 50 intelligence MCQs daily under timed conditions for at least 3 weeks before your test
  • Build pattern recognition as a habit — do puzzles, number series, and logic problems daily
