General requirements for airmen

Educational Qualification required for airmen

The minimum qualification required by PAF for airmen is Matric science. marks required vary with trade and area. For technical roles, candidates with an FSC (Intermediate) in Pre-Engineering, Pre-Medical, or equivalent qualifications are preferred (Although basic Criteria is Matriculation).

Marital Status:

Candidates applying for the position of airman must be single.

Nationality:

The candidate must be a Pakistani citizen. For Airwoman positions, candidates can be from Pakistan or Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK).

Age Limit:

For Airman/Airwoman positions, the typical age limit is 15.5 to 22 years at the time of application. Age relaxation may be granted to candidates as per relevant qualifications and experience.

Physical Fitness:

Candidates must meet the PAF’s physical fitness standards, which include requirements for height, weight, and overall health.

Height:

Minimum 5 feet 4 inches (162 cm) for males and 5 feet (152 cm) for females.

Weight:

As per Body Mass Index (BMI), based on PAF standards.

Vision:

Candidates should have normal vision or corrected vision with glasses (only if applicable)

Special concession in Requirements for registered Rural areas

Matriculation with Science is must, with a minimum 50% marks. Minimum 33% marks (50 out of 150) in English.
