PMA Long Course
PMA Long Course is a Two Years Training program for commissioned officers in Pak Army. This Course is held at Pakistan Military Academy Kakul. After successful completion of training in PMA kakul Cadets are officially awarded commissioned in Pakistan Army. And the First Rank of Commissioned officer of Pak Army 2nd Lieutenant is Awarded.

PMA Long Course 158 Last apply date
PMA Long course is announced twice in one year generally once in month of April-May and second time in months of September-October.
PMA long course 158 online registration was opened from 24 March to 03 May2026. Then extended up to last apply date 08 june 2026. Before guide for pma initial test syllabus/pattern, please read the Eligibility Criteria.
PM Long Course Requirements
PMA long course Eligibility Criteria for AGE, qualifications, marital status, physical standards etc is mentioned below. All requirements are discussed here in details and easy to understand so please read them carefully.
Age limit for pma long course
Age limit is different as per qualification. Various age limits are given below:
- Intermediate or Equivalent: 17 to 22 years, 03 months relaxation in upper and lower limit.
- Graduates (2-year program): 17 to 23 years, 03 months relaxation in upper and lower limit.
- Graduates (4-year program): 17 to 24 years, no age relaxation
- Serving Pak Air Force/Navy Soldiers: 17 to 23 years, 03 months relaxation in upper and lower limit.
- Serving Army Soldiers: 17 to 25 years, no age relaxation.
Education Qualification required for PMA
- Minimum 55% marks in FA/FSc or equivalent.
- A Level with minimum 50% marks must obtain an equivalence certificate from IBCC.
- Those who secure 60% in BA/BSc/BBA and 50% in intermediate can apply based on higher education.
- Serving soldiers can apply with at least 50% marks in FA/FSc.
- Students waiting for result can apply with minimum 55% in First year with hope certificate signed by Head of College
Physical Standards required for pma long course
The Pakistan Army has strict physical standards to ensure all the professional combat duties. such as:
- Minimum Height: 5’4” (162.5 cm)
- Weight: As per BMI (Body Mass Index)
- Chest: Minimum expansion of 5 cm
- Marital Status: Unmarried
- Gender: Only Males
- Physical test for pma long course: Candidates must be physically fit to pass all tests, which includes running, push-ups, crunches, and chin-ups etc.

Intelligence Test for PMA long Course
Intelligence test is not a test related to education syllabus. This test evaluates your mental and cognitive abilities. Intelligence test in PMA initial test syllabus consists of Two separate tests as given below:
Verbal intelligence test:
Verbal test includes Textual questions. Here are some specific types of questions to understand the Verbal Intelligence Test. This test contains the types of questions such as :
- Distance & Speed-Related Questions

Non verbal intelligence test:

Academic test for PMA initial test
Academic test is a second part of PMA Initial Test Syllabus. Academic test is educational and curricular test which have vast and huge subjects. Candidates must prepare very much for the academic test to pass the PMA long course initial test. Academic test of PMA Long Course Initial Test includes the MCQs from the following subjects.
- Pakistan Studies
- Islamic Knowledge
- World General Knowledge
- English

These Subjects MCQs are generally taken form Books of inter level upon which qualification you have applied.
PMA Initial Test Pattern
PMA Long Course Initial Test is a computerized Test conducted at the respective Army recruitment and selection center. This is a multiple choice question type test. Pattern of this test is given below:
