How to Join PAF 2026 — Overview
The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) is one of the most respected institutions in Pakistan, offering structured careers across flying, engineering, administration, medical, and ground support roles. Every year PAF announces inductions for three main categories: Commissioned Officers, Airmen/Airwomen, and Civilian Staff.

Can I Join PAF with Glasses?
This is one of the most frequently asked questions. The answer depends entirely on which branch you are applying for.

How to Register Online — Step by Step
PAF registration is done exclusively through the official portal. There is no offline registration. Follow these steps:
- Visit joinpaf.gov.pk — Open the official PAF recruitment portal. Avoid third-party sites that claim to offer registration.
- Check current advertisement — On the homepage, look for the active recruitment advertisement. PAF runs separate ads for officers and airmen. Confirm a course is currently open before registering.
- Click “Apply Online” — Select the relevant entry (Officer / Airman / Civilian) and the specific course.
- Enter CNIC / B-Form — Use your Smart CNIC (13-digit). If under 18, use your B-Form number. Simple (old) CNICs are not accepted since October 2020.
- Fill the registration form — Enter personal details, education, domicile, and choose your nearest PAF Selection Center.
- Submit and print the slip — After submission, a Roll Number Slip is generated immediately. Print it — this slip is mandatory at the Selection Center. Save a digital copy as backup.
- Report on the given date — Your slip will show the test date, reporting time, and Selection Center address. Arrive 30 minutes early.
Important: Registration windows are limited — usually 2–4 weeks per cycle. Once the window closes, you cannot register for that course. Always monitor the portal during February, July, and August.
PAF Joining Instructions — What to Expect on Test Day
Many candidates are unprepared for the sequence of events at the Selection Center. Here is exactly what happens.

- Printed Roll Number Slip (mandatory — no entry without it)

- Wear comfortable clothing that allows height/weight measurement easily
Sequence of Events on Test Day
- Document Verification — Staff check your slip, CNIC, certificates. Missing documents = sent home. No exceptions.
- Preliminary Medical — Height, weight, eyesight, flat feet, knock knees check. Failures here are immediate.
- E-Testing (Computer Test) — Intelligence test is first. Failing the intelligence threshold closes the test — academic subjects will not open. Answer as fast and accurately as possible.
- Initial Interview — Short panel interview (5–10 minutes). General awareness, confidence, why you want to join PAF.
- Wait for result — Shortlisted candidates are notified by SMS or call. This may take days to weeks after the test.

- Print Roll Number Slip — Contains test date, time, and selection center.
- E-Testing (Initial Written Test) — Computer-based MCQ test at a PAF Selection Center.
